The generally accepted history of the race known as Inmagice (pronounced
In-maj-eek-ay) tells of an otherworldy plane of existence in which
primal, chaotic magical forces swirl about constantly. Also on this
world are many incredibly powerful gemstones containing awesome magical
properties. Harvesting those gemstones was near impossible, until a
deity (or archmage, stories differ here) created the Inmagice race to
search for and collect the gems. These people are very well suited to
withstand hazardous magic. Inmagice do not seem well suited to the study
of magic.
The Inmagice are of a very plain, humanoid shape. Their skin is a dull
gray, and their faces are quite flat. Perhaps they could best be
described as looking like a not-quite finished statue made of gray clay.
Inside they are definitely like most humanoids though... Inmagice eat,
drink, breathe, bleed, and die pretty much like everyone else. They
experience all the human emotions, procreate like humans, and are easily
mistaken for humans. In most respects the Inmagice wish to fit into the
human society, since they don't really have a home or past to call their
own.
Of their years (or eons?) of servitude the Inmagice remember virtually
nothing. It's not known how some or all of them managed to escape from
their world of origin.
