Book 53 -- A Brief on the Secret Deities: Drax????, Ghorbug, Morbus (last

as presented by Yerikan
* Don't Say It *
Over a century ago there lived a powerful wizard, one who became so skilled
in magic and yet so evil that he refused to die. This being became
something like a demigod in death, and his name is uttered aloud only by
fools. To say his name can give him power, as well as possibly attracting
his anger.
I've heard tales of people worshipping this demigod. To do so would require
at least knowing his name. As the demigod despises elves my assumption is
that race would not be accepted. Those of good alignment are most likely
excluded as well.
Of what gain such worshippers receive I know not. Perhaps enhanced magical
skills, but at a terrible cost I'm sure.
* Ghorbug *
Thought to be the deity of the downtrodden, Ghorbug seems to have
originated from the goblins according to most stories. Worshippers claim a
bonus to resurrection chances, the ability to avoid blows in combat, and
the use of the Intelligent Parry skill. Those attacking a worshipper of
Ghorbug seem to stumble more than normal as well.
Ghorbug is portrayed by most as an impulsive, carefree survivor. Serious
contemplation and study go against his nature, thus any worshippers
meditating are due for significantly reduced results.
Ghorbug seems to dislike extreme alignments in his worshippers. Become too
good, or too evil and he's likely to push you out of his flock until you
mend your ways.
* Morbus *
Little is known of the deity Morbus. Described as the deity of disease,
Morbus is evil, and most likely prefers his worshippers that way. I've
heard a rumor that worshippers gain resistance to disease and injury, along
with the ability to spread diseases.
Should you come across further information on any of these deities please
share with me so that we can keep all guild members informed. Thank you.
