Manti are widely thought to be the result of magical experimentation
on the praying mantis insect. This sentient race is basically a huge
praying mantis, with four legs used for walking and two arm-like legs
that function much like arms.

The Manti are a very logical and unemotional race. They have a very
hard time using the Berserk skill. Manti also seem unable to benefit
from "Hate" quests. Another weakness that has been noted is that
Manti appear to be slightly more susceptible to mind-affecting magics.

Manti are able to use a Special Action called "Thicken Exoskeleton"
to increase their natural armor. This costs Experience Points,
starting at 60 EPs to go from NA 3 to 4. The next NA level costs (60
EPs x 2) or 120 EPs. Going from NA 5 to NA 6 costs (60 EPs x 3) or
180 EPs, etc. The highest NA attainable in this way is 10, with a
final cost of 420 EPs.
