Book#75 -- The Bulls of Tate (last revised 2/15/03)

The story goes that many years back there was a baron named
Tatenallizewiner, though he was called Tate by most. On Baron Tate's
land a farmer is said to have angered some pixies, who took revenge
by cursing the farmers livestock.

The flying pigs soon all escaped. The goats that were always hungry
for metal became such a nuisance they all had to be slaughtered, and
the rock-laying chickens were totally useless.

But the fire-breathing bull was spared from the butchering knife when
Baron Tate realized this rare creature could be valuable. Since then
the Tatean Fire Breathing Bull has sired many calves. To this day
they can be purchased for pets.

Inital cost for a Tatean Bull Calf is 1000 gc. They have a starting
maintenance cost of 25 gc, and are not yet able to breathe fire.

A calf can be upgraded to a Tatean Bull, which can be upgraded to a
Tatean Elder Bull. Once past the calf stage, the bulls begin spouting
flame.
